Fantastic Resource for All Washingtonians!

I know that we are all distracted by the national, um, situation, shall we call it? However, we cannot afford to forget that our very own Chris(tine)* Gregoire will stop at nothing to one-up anything Obama's administration tries to implement. I know it is a lot of work, but it is so worth it, and honestly, we have a better chance of having an impact at a local and state level than we do at the national level. The good news from that, however, is that once we make our mark here, we will be strong enough to move on to confronting the Washington D.C. politician-aristocrats.

Allow me to introduce a very good resource for Washingtonians who want to know more about the kind of legislation that passes through the great halls down in Olympia. The Washington Policy Center is a great, nonpartisan group that works to educate the citizens of WA State on issues and legislation, while also proposing alternative solutions that utilize a free market strategy.
Washington Policy Center (WPC) improves lives of Washington citizens by providing accurate, high-quality research for policymakers, the media and the general public. [Snip]... that publishes studies, sponsors events and conferences and educates citizens on public policy issues facing our region.
Even better still is the Washington Votes website:
Washington Votes gives users instant access to concise, plain language and objective descriptions of every single bill, amendment, and vote that takes place in the Washington legislature. Unlike any other bill tracking utility, Washington Votes is unique because all legislative actions are described - not just those selected by a particular interest group. It is searchable by legislator, keyword, and 32 subject categories, so users can create their own custom "voting record guide."
The biggest obstacle to "We the people" actually having a say in our government is the fact that we don't a.) know what bills are even being written, and b.) most people, including the legislators themselves, can hardly understand the bills due to the vast amounts of legal jargon. This website gives us all a wonderful and free gift: the gift of knowledge and the gift of information, so that we can defend our views and positions, so that we know in which direction to go, and whether we need to walk or run.

Check out those websites and try to set aside even just 10 minutes per day to read about some of the legislation that our "representatives" in Olympia are creating, debating, and passing. The most lethal weapon we have is knowledge; do not disarm yourself willingly.

*It is really petty, but I get so annoyed that she goes by "Chris." I just know it is because she wants to appear tough, or slightly tomboyish; as though going by a guy's name brings her more gravitas and strength.

New Alarming and Inconvenient Truths about CO2 Levels

A little known fact about CO2, and its effect on human beings, has just come to my attention. I wanted to share this with the world, if only to begin to bring awareness to this dire issue, which to this date, has been maliciously ignored by groups funded by special interests intent on proceeding with “business as usual.”

I have been researching the phenomenon of low levels of CO2, and this, my dear friends, is the grave information I have uncovered.

Via Wikipedia , an even slightly lower than normal CO2 level…

…reduces the carbon dioxide concentration of the blood to below its normal level, thereby raising the blood's pH value, initiating constriction of the blood vessels which supply the brain, and preventing the transport of certain electrolytes necessary for
the function of the nervous system.

…low concentration[s] of carbon dioxide in the blood is known as hypocapnia. Since carbon dioxide is carried as carbonic acid in the blood, hypocapnia results in the blood becoming alkaline, i.e. the blood pH value rises. This is known as a respiratory alkalosis... low carbon dioxide levels… [Snip]… cause the brain's blood vessels to constrict, resulting in reduced blood flow to the brain…

This is very, very serious. I believe, based on these irrefutable and scientific facts upon which all scientists agree, therefore implying a consensus amongst them, that we must immediately, without delay, put into effect such policies that will increase the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere instantaneously. This must be a worldwide effort as human beings in every nation are in danger of suffering great illnesses from CO2 reduction attempts being implemented right now! How can those that promote CO2 reduction face themselves in the mirror day after day knowing that they are causing so much harm to their fellow man? What about the children? Will they be born into a world of sickness, illness, and death?

Consider the ramifications of people who might faint from low levels of CO2 while:
  • driving on freeways;
  • operating heavy machinery;
  • piloting commercial airplanes full of women, children, babies, women pregnant with twins, nuns, Buddhist monks, environmentalists, grandmas and the entire Special Olympics bowling team;
  • or steering container ships and oil tankers;
We would have a massacre larger than anything seen before in our history.

Some would argue that the efforts to reduce CO2 levels, without regard for dire consequences, are racist and imperialistic. Some would argue that those that continue to work towards minimizing CO2, in spite of all of the evidence supporting the disastrous harm this would bring, are exactly the same as those that thought the world was flat. They obviously do not care about people, or that reducing CO2 levels will most assuredly march us all into a worldwide, apocalyptic death camp.

Bringing Legislation into the Light of Day - For a "Change"

A fellow blogger, Bryan Myrick, has put together a petition to ask Obama and Congress for a "sunlight period" in order to give the citizens, and the legislators themselves, more time to review bills (you know, as opposed to the eight hours available for the porkulus bill...)

I think this is a most wonderful idea!! In Bryan's words:

Sign this petition to demand that the U.S. Congress makes rules to require a 72-hour "reading break" for all legislation prior to voting for final passage. This petition also demands that the President observe a "sunlight period" of five days before signing any bill into law. During the "sunlight period", the bill would be published in its entirety on the White House website for public review and comment.

Take a moment to sign this petition. If we are in the minority and have not the votes to stop their incompetent, greedy, and socialist agenda, we can at least demand more time for the American people to educate themselves on the actions of their elected officials.

OMG I Love American Thinker!!

Seriously folks, American Thinker is quite possibly one of the THE BEST sites around for really great insight and analysis, and just plain 'ol information! They also link to other great articles and sources. I look at it everyday, and everyday I want to link to every single gosh darned article! Of course, one cannot link to every article... that would be ridiculous... right? Well, rather than be ridiculous, I will just whet your appetite with one link, and then I suggest you read EVEYTHING on the site today. You won't be able to stop. Today's articles are the web equivalent of a rip-roaring, page-turning, suspense novel. The news to tempt you with more is this: A House panel is going to hear charges against ACORN! Check it out:

A lawyer for a whistleblower on the activist group ACORN is prepared to tell a House panel Thursday that the group provided liberal causes with protest-for-hire services and coerced donations from the targets of demonstrations through a mob-style "protection" racket. ACORN called it the "muscle for the money" program, according to prepared testimony Pittsburgh lawyer Heather Heidelbaugh plans to deliver at a hearing of the House Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution, civil rights and civil

Pay No Attention to the Man Behind the Curtain

Guest post by Ma LibertyBelle

Hopefully, we regular citizens are too smart to be sucked in by the Theater of the Absurd that went on yesterday in Washington, D.C. President Obama said he did not want to "quell the anger" but to channel it.

Congressional clown Barney Frank felt his imperious demand for names of AIG executives who received bonuses outweighed any death threats being received by AIG.

Senator Dodd first denied, then later confirmed that he had inserted the loophole in the Porkulus bill that allowed the bonuses to be paid and he did it at the request of the Treasury Department

If you are getting the feeling that juvenile delinquents are loose in the nation's capital, wrecking havoc, inciting anger with hate speech, pointing fingers at the employees of a private company who, it turns out, are basically complying with contractual obligations that were legalized by the Porkulus bill, you are probably spot on accurate.

Looks a lot like the Guys Behind the Curtain--the ones pulling the strings, voting for trillions of taxpayer dollars without reading the bills, wasting no crisis in order to inflict their vision of a social utopia on the rest of us--don't want us looking at them and holding them responsible.
But that is exactly what we need to do. Don't buy what they are selling. It is Snake Oil. The people actually responsible for this debacle are those who voted for Porkulus and for all the other bailouts. It is the people who voted to insert the government in the economy instead of allowing the free markets to work according to natural order. It is the people who couldn't wait to have a REAL discussion on the floor of Congress or at least in committee hearings before demanding passage to "avoid a contastrophe."

What we need are some adults in positions of government authority. A few thinkers who can look beyond their personal, immediate greed for campaign contributions (which Sens Obama and Dodd received from AIG) would be really refreshing. They might actually stop and consider what they and their policies might mean for the country and future generations. We need some men, and women, like our founders. Maybe someone like Thomas Jefferson who said: "...we shall all consider ourselves unauthorized to saddle posterity with our debts, and morally bound to pay them ourselves; and consequently within what may be deemed the period of a generation, or the life (expectancy) of the majority."

This is our job as citizens. We will let those in power know that we are not buying the lies any longer and that we see behind the curtain. We will talk to our neighbors, families, and friends to spread the message....we need adults in our government.

Media BLITZ!!!

Please take a few minutes here and there, as the days go on and we get closer to the tea party, to alert the media (local and national) regarding our event(s).

The media outlets keep trying to tell us that they didn't know about the last protests, but that is a lie. We sent out press releases and called them in advance. So this time, let's all tell them ahead of time. Here are the local Seattle affiliates:

Seattle News Stations:
KING5: (206) 448-3850
KIRO: (206) 728-7777
KOMO: 1 (888) 477-5666

Seattle Newspapers:
Seattle Times: (206) 464-2200
Seattle PI (this number is still listed for them): (206) 448-8000

A really cool website that does all the phone number/email address digging for you is here.

Don't forget, Newt Gingrich has now signed on as a supporter of the tea party movement. We rock!!

Special King County Election Thursday, March 19th

Care about private property rights? Think that it is immoral to take away people's private property by force, or restrict the usage without compensation to mollify radical greeniacs? Yeah, me too. So go vote on Thursday for Preston Drew in a special election being held to fill a position on the KCD's five member Board of Supervisors. This board deals with issues of property rights. The lefties are firing up a campaign to mobilize their armies to write in their eco-zealot candidate who didn't make it on to the ballot. Check out this link to find the polling places, and to see why we need to make sure more of us get to the polls.

I am venturing into creating designs for t-shirts and other shwag, and I wanted to share my first design with you all! I am focusing on gear for the upcoming Tax Day Tea Party, but my little online store will soon have other designs, including the big, red Conservative "C" that many people have asked about acquiring. My store is called, Redistributing Knowledge: The Store. I know, super creative name... Anyhoo, enjoy this one. It is most sincerely dedicated to our Washington State Senator, Patty Murray, who has voted for all of the outrageous spending, ignores her constituents, and is up for reelection in 2010...

Hahahaha. I hope people get it. If you don't, go here.
